Leonard Selase Van-Lare ASyl, M.IPSA M.CSC is the Managing Director of VLC Services, with close to a decade of frontline operational experience across nightlife, hospitality, live entertainment, and production environments.

Before founding VLC, Leonard worked in healthcare and support settings including dementia and end-of-life care. That background continues to shape the company's welfare-led, de-escalation-focused approach to security delivery today, and sets VLC apart from more traditional providers in the live environment space.

VLC operates from a simple belief: that professionalism, communication, safeguarding awareness, and calm leadership are not optional extras in modern security they are the standard. This philosophy runs through every deployment, from Central London nightlife to TV and film production, faith venues, and major live events.

Leonard also brings commercial and public-sector experience across the Public Sector, Defense, Capital Markets and government, enterprise, and large-scale programme environments, which directly informs VLC's structured, partnership-led approach to security delivery.

A committed advocate for continuous development, Leonard is currently pursuing the IRM Level 4 Certificate in Operational Risk Management, and the ASIS Certified Protection Professional (CPP) one of the most respected credentials in the global security industry. This ongoing investment in professional development reflects a broader commitment to ensuring VLC's leadership remains grounded in current best practice, across both operational and strategic disciplines.
